Improved financial sentiments, more expected hiring and fewer anticipated layoffs drove the rise. The state’s measure of worker confidence is also up from last October, when it registered 101.1. The national Index, based on responses from approximately 9,000 workers across the country, rose 3.7 points in October to 100.8.
