Bloomberg Leaves GOP, Dreaming of Long-Shot
Adding fuel to the fire that he is planning an independent bid for the White House, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg left the Republican Party yesterday and is now officially unaffiliated with either major party. Bloomberg has reportedly told associates that if he runs for President in 2008, he will spend a billion dollars from his own personal resources to fund the campaign adding yet another wild card to an already surprising Election 2008 season
