State-by-state results from Election 2004 will be announced by the television networks after the polls close in each state. Poll closing times are summarized in the table below. Keep in mind that results from some states will be delayed if they are too close to call. Heading into Election Day, George W. Bush has the lead in states with 222 Electoral Votes while John Kerry leads in states with 186. Eleven states with 130 Electoral Votes remain in the Toss-Up column.
