Voters Overwhelmingly Concerned About National Debt
Half of voters disapprove of the $1.7 trillion spending bill rammed through Congress last month, and a majority agree that it’s a “disaster” for America.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 76% of Likely U.S. Voters are concerned about the size of the U.S. national debt – now more than $31 trillion – including 53% who are Very Concerned. The survey of 1,000 U.S. Likely Voters was conducted on January 2-4, 2023 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research.
