Election 2024: 36% Liked Media Coverage of the Campaign
Despite a widespread belief that the news media are biased in favor of Democrats, many voters give the media good marks for their campaign coverage.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 36% of Likely U.S. Voters believe most of the major news media did a good or excellent job in covering this year’s presidential election campaign. Thirty-nine percent (39%) give the media a poor rating for their campaign coverage. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

The survey of 1,800 U.S. Likely Voters was conducted on October 30-31 and November 3, 2024 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 2 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC.
