Veterans Day 2006
78% Have Favorable Opinion of Military
Seventy-eight percent (78%) of Americans have a favorable opinion of the U.S. military. That figure is unchanged from 2005's Veterans Day survey conducted by Rasmussen Reports.
The survey was conducted in anticipation of Veterans’ Day, celebrated on Saturday, November 11, 2006. Forty-three percent (43%) rate Veterans’ Day as one of the nation’s most important holidays. Just 6% say it is one of our least important, while 43% say it falls somewhere in between.
