Worker Confidence Inches Up in September
After falling for three consecutive months, San Francisco worker confidence reversed its trend in September as the local Hudson Employment Index (SM) inched up one point to 100.2. Increased job satisfaction was offset by increased concerns regarding job security. The latest reading is nearly seven points higher than it was at this time last year, when the local Index was 93.4. In contrast, the composite Index, based on responses from approximately 9,000 workers nationwide, fell 2.4 points to 100.5.
