55% View Health Care Law Unfavorably

President Obama’s health care law is more unpopular than it has been for months.

Just 39% of Likely U.S. Voters now view the law at least somewhat favorably, while 55% share an unfavorable opinion of it, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. 35% Say Health Care Law Has Hurt Them; 19% Say It’s Helped

Voters continue to give President Obama’s health care law mixed reviews, but more voters believe the law has hurt more than helped them.

Forty-three percent (43%) of Likely U.S. Voters view the health care law favorably, while 49% have an unfavorable opinion of it, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. 39% Are Aware If Their State Is Creating A Health Insurance Exchange

Under President Obama’s health care law, states have less than six months now to open exchanges for the sale of universal health insurance, but most voters still aren’t sure what their state has done. Voters remain evenly divided over whether their governor should help to get the health care law on track even as a key Democrat worries in Washington, D.C. that the law is headed for “a train wreck.”

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 39% of Likely U.S. Voters are aware whether their state has agreed to set up a health insurance exchange. Thirty-three percent (33%) say they don’t know what their state has done, and another 27% are not sure. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

72% Favor Individual Choice When It Comes to How Much Health Insurance Coverage

Voters remain closely divided in their opinions of President Obama’s new health care law but also are still very clear that individuals, not the government, should decide how much health insurance they need.  The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 47% of Likely U.S. Voters now view the health care law favorably, while 49% have an unfavorable opinion of it. 78% Say They Get Good or Excellent Health Care

Most voters continue to like the health care they get but remain more critical of the overall U.S. health care system. However, the majority also still expects the system to get worse in the near future.

50% View Health Care Law Unfavorably

It’s been three years since the passage of President Obama’s health care law, and it still hasn’t become popular. Half of voters hold an unfavorable opinion of it, and most continue to think the law will push up health care costs.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 44% of Likely U.S. Voters have at least a somewhat favorable view of the health care law. Fifty percent (50%) view it unfavorably. 45% Want Their Governors To Help Implement Health Care Law, 45% Don’t

Voters are now evenly divided over whether they want their governor to help make President Obama’s health care law a reality in their state.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 45% of Likely U.S. Voters would like their governor to support the implementation of the law in their state. But just as many (45%) would like their governor to oppose implementation. Eleven percent (11%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

45% Favor President's Health Care Law, Most Want More Consumer Choice

Voters continue to give the president's health care law tepid reviews and believe overwhelmingly that individuals should have the power to pick the kind of coverage they want. 

Forty-five percent (45%) view it favorably, while 48% share an unfavorable opinion of it. This includes 18% with a Very Favorable view and 33% with a Very Unfavorable one. These attitudes have held steady since last November's election.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 36% of Likely U.S. Voters think the government should require every health insurance company and health insurance plan to cover the exact same set of medical procedures. Thirty-four percent (34%) disagree and oppose such requirements. Thirty-one percent (31%) are not sure. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

47% Favor A Health Care Exchange in Their State

Voter support for creating a health care exchange in their state as part of President Obama’s health care law is unchanged, but low voter awareness suggests it is not a top-of-mind issue for most voters at this time.

Just 34% of Likely U.S. Voters say they know their state has agreed to set up a health care exchange, according to the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. Only 32% Are Aware If Their State Is Establishing A Health Care Exchange

Most voters still aren’t sure if their state has created a health care exchange as a requirement of President Obama’s national health care law, but support for creating one is up slightly from last month. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 49% of Likely U.S. Voters now would like to see their state set up a health care exchange to assist with the implementation of the health care law. That’s up three points from December.

50% Favor Health Care Repeal, 44% Oppose

Fifty percent (50%) of Likely U.S. Voters favor repeal of President Obama’s national health care law, while 44% are opposed to repeal, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.

A week ago, 54% favored repeal, and most voters have favored repeal of the law in regular surveys since its passage in March 2010. But this is the closest the enthusiasm level on the two sides has ever been: 39% now Strongly Favor repeal, while nearly as many (37%) Strongly Oppose it.
